In 1988 David Crary created LMS Irrigation, and began his struggles with paper work orders and timesheet management. It took him ten years to learn that paperwork was killing his growth, and so in 1998 Crary approached Vertical Systems.The software called "HindSite" was born.

LMS is revolutionized by this new field service management software, and in 2001 the company HindSite Software, LLC, is founded. In 2002 HindSite partners with Intuit, integrating with QuickBooks, and eventually becomes a certified Gold QuickBooks Developer.
Over the past eight years HindSite Software has been rebranded as The HindSite Solution, a comprehensive field service solution for small service contractors and dealers throughout the United States and Canada.
